Bus Routes

Three routes

There are three bus routes operating, which are called:

• The Wayside Route
• The Firhouse Route
• The Rathcoole Route

See below for information on the stops on each route and accompanying maps.

Timings are predictive for now (July 2025), and may be modified to suit traffic patterns once school begins in September 2025.

The Wayside route:

Stop 1: 7.45am — Glencairn Luas stop (Bus stop 7417)

Stop 2: 7.55am — Wayside Cottages Kilternan (Entrance to Boyles Coal Yard Farmer Brown’s)

Stop 3: 7.58am — Jamestown P&P Stepaside (Bus stop 3483)

Stop 4: 8.00am — Belarmine Stepaside (Roundabout at entrance to Belarmine)

Stop 5: 8.03am — Aikens Village (Entrance to Sandyford Par 3 Golf Course)

Stop 6: 8.05am — Kilcross (Bus stop 6007, Sandyford Road)

Stop 7: 8.07am — IMI Sandyford Road (Bus stop 2836)

Stop 8: 8.10am — Airfield Estate (Bus stop 7916, opposite entrance to Airfield)

Stop 9: 8.12am — Ballinteer Road (Bus Stop 7718, Jamie’s Italian Restaurant)

Stop 10: 8.14am — Barton Road East (Bus stop 1052)

Stop 11: 8.19am — Ballinteer St. Johns (Bus stop 2971)

Stop 12: 8.20am — College Road Layby (just before Little Harvard Montessori)

Stop 13: 8.30am — Rockbrook school

The Firhouse route:

Stop 1: 8.10am — The OId Mill pub (Bus stop 2540)

Stop 2: 8.12am — Firhouse Road (Bus stop 7961)

Stop 3: 8.15am — Glenlyon Park (Bus stop 3006)

Stop 4: 8.18am — St Colmcille’s Way, Woodstown (Bus stop 4886)

Stop 5: 8.20am — St Colmcille’s Way, Orlagh (Bus stop 4887)

Stop 6: 8.21am — Scholarstown Park (Lay-by)

Stop 7: 8.22am — Ballyboden Way (Bus stop 7444)

Stop 8: 8.23am — Edmondstown Road (Bus stop 2927)

Stop 9: 8.30am — Rockbrook school

The Rathcoole route:

Stop 1: 7.45am — Avoca, Rathcoole (Facing Avoca)

Stop 2 7.50am — Millrace roundabout (At the roundabout)

Stop 3: 7.55am — Saggart Luas stop (Layby facing the Luas line)

Stop 4: 8.00am — Lidl, Fortunestown Lane (Bus stop 10150)

Stop 5: 8.02am — Brookview Avenue (Bus stop 1051)

Stop 6: 8.03am — Swiftbrook Ave (Bus stop 2669)

Stop 7: 8.05am — Fortunetown Way (Bus stop 10334)

Stop 8: 8.15am — Springfield slip road (Just off the Tallaght Bypass)

Stop 9: 8.19am — Whitestown (Bus stop 7122)

Stop 10: 8.20am — Ailsbury (Facing SuperValu; Bus stop 4880)

Stop 11: 8.40am — Rockbrook school
