is undoubtedly one of the most important
subjects, which is necessary for a future
in many areas including Science, Computers,
Commerce and Engineering. It is compulsory
at Junior and Leaving Certificate level
and is offered at all levels |

History |

is compulsory at Junior Certificate level
and optional for the Leaving Certificate.
When choosing subjects for the Leaving Certificate,
students recieve extensive advice to ensure
bot subjects and levels that suit both their
abilities and thier interests. |

Geography |

| Another
subject compulsory at Junior Certificate level
and one which can be kept on for the Leaving
Certificate is Geography. Geography may suit
the more analytical student who enjoys the
Sciences, whereas History may suit the student
who feels more drawn to expressive writing.

At
Junior Certificate Level, Business Studies
is offered and during transition year, students
take a detailed look at the mechanics of Accounting.
For the Leaving Cert. the option exists to

Spanish |
French
and Spanish are the foreign languages studied
at Rockbrook. Both languages can be done
at Junior Cert. level. Spanish and French
are optional for Leaving Cert. and we encourage
at least one to be taken. Many students

Science
is compulsory for the Junior Cert cycle. After
which students can choose any number of Science
subjects for the Leaving Cert including the

is studied at both Junior Certificate Level
and at the Leaving Certificate Level. Besause
of smaller numbers per class and a large variety
of choices, Leaving Cert. classes are generally
small and therefore there is the increased
attention necessary to foster artistic talent. |
